Hull believes in upholding the motto “Where Great Ideas are Born” by offering a variety of financial packages for businesses of all sizes. Whether you are just starting out, or a well-established firm, we work hard to have options that fit your needs. Please find brief descriptions of these offerings below.

Tax Rebates

The Hull Industrial Development Corporation offers 3, 5, 7, or 10-year tax rebate options for your non-manufacturing business, based on several factors including the size of the project and the number of jobs added.

Storefront Improvement

Update your main street storefront with up to $10,000 in matching funds from the City of Hull.

Industrial Property Tax Abatement

For businesses zoned industrial (light or heavy), Sioux County offers a 5-year sliding scale abatement on new construction. Additionally, the Hull Industrial Development Corporation offers a booster abatement, for those who qualify, to increase the abatement from the county.

Sioux County Revolving Loan Fund

This Sioux County fund looks at job creation within 2 years of the start of the loan, and will pay up to 30% of the project. The maximum loan amount is $200,000.

Local Utility Incentives

MidAmerican Energy Company offers a variety of incentives to new industries. Industrial utility rates are well below the national average. For more information, you can visit MidAmerican Energy’s Economic Development website.

Foreign Trade Zone

Sioux County is an approved Foreign Trade Zone. Qualifying companies can take advantage of this zoning to lower or delay import duties.
