Attention recycling customers
FOR all residents who recycle, please review the specific list below for a refresher on what is and is not acceptable for recycling. In order to keep the residential recycling at “no cost” through the landfill, it is important you follow this list.
ACCEPTABLE Items in Recycle Loads
- Plastics #1-7– labeled with recycle symbol with number 1-7 on it clean/rinsed.
- Paper – office paper, envelopes, newspaper, magazines, junk mail, etc.
- Cardboard – corrugated cardboard, food boxes, packaging/cartons, cereal boxes, etc.
- Milk Jugs, Laundry detergent bottles, soap bottles, shampoo bottles, etc – clean rinsed.
- Tin cans – clean rinsed.
- Aluminum – clean rinsed.
- Metal lids – clean rinsed
NOT ACCEPTABLE in Recycle Loads

o NO CLOTHING/SHOES/FABRICS
o NO WOOD/CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS/ETC
o NO STYROFOAM
o NO HOSES/POOLS/TARPS/VINYL
o NO FOOD/NO DIAPERS/NO GARBAGE
o NO HAZARDOUS WASTE, NO CHEMICALS
o NO MEDICAL WASTE OF ANY KIND
o NO PLASTIC BAGS – SUCH AS SHOPPING BAGS, BREAD BAGS, CHIP BAGS, STORAGE BAGS, ETC
o NO HARD PLASTICS – SUCH AS TOYS, LITTLE TYKE TOYS, LAUNDRY BASKETS, STORAGE CONTAINERS, ETC
o NO APPLIANCES – SUCH AS COFFEE MAKERS, VACUUMS, AIR PURIFIERS, TOASTERS, ETC
o NO GLASS OF ANY KIND
