March 22, 2023
March 27-31 has been designated as SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS WEEK in Iowa. On WEDNESDAY, MARCH 29th, the City will be participating in a Statewide Tornado Drill. A Tornado Warning will be issued at or around 10:00 a.m. at which time the sirens will be activated. There will not be an all clear siren after this.
PLEASE NOTE: In an event of bad weather, our sirens will go off when the wind is 80mph+ and/or there is a tornado warning issued. The City will test the sirens the first Friday of each month during the months of April-September at 9:30 a.m.
